First of all, this is a great choice of topic as the opioid crisis is one that is quite rampant, especially within vulnerable communities. Second of all, this poster is very easy to follow (both visually and content-wise)

Great work Camille! Hypnosis to alter pain perception is a method I would have never thought of. Would be great to see more research and how this could pan out as a preventative measure. Thanks!

Thank you. Hypnosis is a good method to help supplement pharmaceuticals used to treat pain, especially with children who can not have as large a dose as adults. So there is a lot of research being done focusing on hypnosis in pediatric pain.

Truly insightful and invaluable display of research on such an evident crisis that is seen too often from a frontline worker’s perspective.

Yes, I very much agree. What led me to look into this type of research was the fentanyl crisis in 2018 which led to such an increase in overdoses they started putting up warning posters on campus. I want to look at some less commonly known treatments such as hypnosis that could theoretically help limit the risk of opioid addiction.
